18,000 BTU (5kW) White Gloss Heat And Cool Wall Split Air Conditioning Unit Installed In A Timber Frame Residential Garage In Oxford
For this latest air conditioning project; we had an enquiry from a customer in Oxford, who was converting a 30 square metre timber frame garage in their residential property, into a home gym, which would also have a golf simulator in their too.
The customer was looking for an air conditioning unit which could be used to run in cooling mode in the summer, and could also run in a heating mode in the winter; as their home garage gym was going to be used all year round.
The customer originally enquired about the cost for the supply and fit of a 12,000 BTU air conditioning unit which offered WiFi control; but we advised that due to the 30 square metre room size, that a 12,000 BTU unit, wasn’t going to be powerful enough for this application, and that an 18,000 BTU air conditioning unit, would be the perfect choice for their garage air conditioning installation project.
The customer decided to go ahead with us providing the air conditioning installation supply and fit, for an 18,000 BTU white gloss, heat and cool iPAC heat pump inverter air conditioning unit, which also features the WiFi feature that the customer was looking for; where they can control the unit via an App on their Smartphones.
The indoor unit blended in nicely with the white walls, and the outdoor compressor unit, was mounted on a wall bracket on the outside wall, with trunking to cover the outdoor pipework; where with this installation had an average pipework run of 2.5 metres.

For this latest air conditioning project; we had an enquiry from a customer in Southampton, who was looking to have an air conditioning unit installed in their bedroom, as they had been struggling to sleep at night, due to the current hot weather.
As the customer lives in a 3 storey town house, and due to the height of the building; a scaffold tower had to be hired in order to carry out the installation of the outdoor unit.
For this installation, a 12000BTU white gloss air conditioning unit, which offered WiFi control, was the perfect choice for this application; as this unit blended in nicely with the colour of the customers inside walls, and ceiling.
The unit also offered a heating function too, which will provide heating for the customer in the cold winter months; giving the customer a unit which can be used all year round.
For a tidy finish; the installation of the outdoor unit had white trunking, covering the pipework, to make things neat and tidy.

For this project; we had an enquiry from a customer in Gosport, who had a 5.75 metres by 4.8 metres brick construction outbuilding in their garden, which has thick insulation-backed plasterboard, with the ceiling and floor also insulated; and double glazed windows too.
We recommended a 12,000 BTU air conditioning unit for the project; and installed an iPAC branded air conditioning unit, which has built in WiFi, and also a heating function for the cold winter months.
After the installation had been completed; our customer was impressed by how well the unit reduced the room temperature from 30 degrees C, to only 22 degrees C; and is now looking at having air conditioning installed throughout the rooms of the main property itself.
As well as this; the customer was also impressed by the fact that he could link the WiFi functionality of the air conditioning unit into his Home Assistant, home automation system, that he already had in place in his home.
