Room Sizes Covered By Different BTU / kW Air Conditioning Units

To keep things as simple as possible, to give you a good idea of the room sizes covered by our standard air conditioning units, we will start with a 9000 BTU wall split inverter air conditioning unit.

A 9,000 BTU (2.7kW) wall split heat pump inverter air conditioning unit, will cover a standard room size of between 13 to 25 square metres.

Please bear in mind that this area of 13 to 25 square metres, would be a normal office, or bedroom, that is reasonably well insulated, and would typically normally have one window.

Other things that can affect the air conditioning unit, would be things like if the window was a south facing window, and the room size was at the top end of the room size requirements, for example, the room size was 25 square metres, and the room gets a lot of sun in the summer.

In this instance it maybe better to go for the next size up air conditioning unit, and go for a 12000 BTU air conditioning unit.

Again; we can advice on this for you.

Also, another thing to bear in mind, is if the room that your looking to put the 9,000 BTU air conditioning unit in, is a conservatory, with a lot of glass.

Conservatories, normally half the room size capability of air conditioning units; so with a 9,000 BTU air conditioning unit in a conservatory application, the maximum conservatory room size that we would recommend, would be 12 square metres.

A 12,000 BTU (3.5kW) wall split heat pump inverter air conditioning unit, will cover a standard room size of between 16 to 30 square metres.

Again; please bear in mind that this area of 16 to 30 square metres, would be a normal office, or bedroom, that is reasonably well insulated, and would typically normally have one window.

Other things that can affect the air conditioning unit, would be things like if the window was a south facing window, and the room size was at the top end of the room size requirements, for example, the room size was 30 square metres, and the room gets a lot of sun in the summer.

In this instance it maybe better to go for the next size up air conditioning unit, and go for an 18000 BTU air conditioning unit.

Again; we can advice on this for you.

Again; another thing to bear in mind, is if the room that your looking to put the 12,000 BTU air conditioning unit in, is a conservatory, with a lot of glass.

Again; conservatories, normally half the room size capability of air conditioning units; so with a 12,000 BTU air conditioning unit in a conservatory application, the maximum conservatory room size that we would recommend, would be 15 square metres.

An 18,000 BTU (5kW) wall split heat pump inverter air conditioning unit, will cover a standard room size of between 25 to 45 square metres.

Again; please bear in mind that this area of 25 to 45 square metres, would be a normal office, or bedroom, that is reasonably well insulated, and would typically normally have one window.

Other things that can affect the air conditioning unit, would be things like if the window was a south facing window, and the room size was at the top end of the room size requirements, for example, the room size was 45 square metres, and the room gets a lot of sun in the summer.

In this instance it maybe better to go for the next size up air conditioning unit, and go for a 24000 BTU air conditioning unit.

Again; we can advice on this for you.

Again; another thing to bear in mind, is if the room that your looking to put the 18,000 BTU air conditioning unit in, is a conservatory, with a lot of glass.

Again; conservatories, normally half the room size capability of air conditioning units; so with an 18,000 BTU air conditioning unit in a conservatory application, the maximum conservatory room size that we would recommend, would be 25 square metres.

A 24,000 BTU (7kW) wall split heat pump inverter air conditioning unit, will cover a standard room size of between 25 to 45 square metres.

Again; please bear in mind that this area of 34 to 60 square metres, would be a normal office, or bedroom, that is reasonably well insulated, and would typically normally have one window.

Other things that can affect the air conditioning unit, would be things like if the window was a south facing window, and the room size was at the top end of the room size requirements, for example, the room size was 60 square metres, and the room gets a lot of sun in the summer.

In this instance it maybe better to go for two air conditioning units, and go for two 18000 BTU air conditioning units.

Again; we can advice on this for you.

Again; another thing to bear in mind, is if the room that your looking to put the 24,000 BTU air conditioning unit in, is a conservatory, with a lot of glass.

Again; conservatories, normally half the room size capability of air conditioning units; so with a 24,000 BTU air conditioning unit in a conservatory application, the maximum conservatory room size that we would recommend, would be 30 square metres.
